How to measure

To ensure consistency and accuracy in garment measurement between suppliers and PWT Brands, Please follow our guidelines:

Measurement Instructions

  • Detailed instructions on how to measure garments can be found here
  • These guidelines ensure that both PWT Brands and our suppliers measure garments in the same way, promoting uniformity and reducing discrepancies. 

Tolerance Levels

Knitted Garments: Acceptable measurement tolerance is ±3%.

Woven Garments: Acceptable measurement tolerance is ±2%.

Measurement Adjustments

Please note that in some cases we may adjust our measurements in order to ensure the best fit.

Techincal Requirements for Garments

Suppliers must follow standards and procedures to meet PWT Brands’ quality expectations

Technical Standards

Please find technical requirements here

  • Each garment category has specific standards that must be followed. Suppliers are responsible for ensuring that their products meet these standards.
  • If there is any uncertainty about whether a garment meets the required standards, suppliers must conduct tests at Bureau Veritas at their own expense.

Testing

PWT Brands arrange random qualitest test

Zippers

  • Only YKK (metal) zippers are accepted for all garments.
  • In special cases, other brands of zippers must be pre-approved by the PWT Brands buyer.

Inspection

On occasion PWT Brands will visit the factories and inspect garments from finished production. The supplier is obliged to make sure that the finished garments can be inspected at the garment factories. Factory name and address should be informed latest at the time of order placement Inspection will be made according to AQL, standard 2.5. The table can be found here
