Carton packing and labels

General carton packing requirements

No supplier marks allowed on cartons or tape
Carton marking must be placed on the Width side of the carton

Garment Arrangement:

  • Place garments front upwards.
  • Smallest sizes should be at the top.
  • Ensure hangtags face up with the brand visible.

Bridge For Shirts

  • Use a 5-ply “bridge” between every 6 shirts in a carton.
  • The bridge should be 1cm higher than the total height of the shirts to protect collars during transit.

Protective Layer

  • Insert an extra piece of 3-ply carton between the top and bottom flaps and the garments.

Assortment packing

If specified as assortment on the order sheet, it will mention the color name and assortment number (e.g., “Black 02”).

  • The number of cartons will be indicated under “boxes”.
  • Pack one assortment per export carton.
  • Export carton must be marked with assortment carton sticker
  • No handwriting on carton sticker allowed

No broken assortments allowed
No over and under shipment are allowed

Unassorted packing

If specified as unassorted on the order sheet, quantities for each size and color will be detailed in a table.

  • Pack in solid size per color per export carton (one size in one color) as specified.
  • Quantity per carton must be consistent within the same size. Example: all Size S cartons must contain the same quantity; all Size M cartons must contain the same quantity, etc.
    Leftover pieces per size must be packed separately in a last carton or in a mixed carton according to mixed carton instructions.
  • For repeat and NOOS orders of the same style, suppliers must maintain the same quantity per carton from order to order.
  • Export carton must be marked with Unassorted carton sticker
  • No handwriting on carton sticker allowed

Box packing

If specified as box on the order sheet, it will mentioned several color names and box number (e.g., “BOX 06”)

  • If mentioned four different color names, it means that these four colors will be included in the same export carton as one “box”
  • The number of cartons will be indicated under “boxes”
  • Pack one “box” per export carton
  • Export carton must be marked with Assortment carton sticker
  • No handwriting on carton sticker allowed

Breakdown packing

Important: if any order are packed in breakdown, this must be informed to the resposible buyer for every single order no / Style no.

Several small assortments packed together in one export carton

  • Each assortment should be packed separately in a master polybag marked with breakdown polybag sticker
  • Multiple assortments packed into a export carton
  • Each export carton should contain only one kind of assortment. For instance, pack 4 assortments of WHITE 05.
  • No innerboxes allowed
  • Export carton must be marked with Breakdown carton sticker
  • No handwriting on carton sticker allowed

Mixed packing

Mixed cartons are not accepted and must be strictly avoided in all standard deliveries. They are only permitted in very rare cases, and only with prior written approval from PWT.

If you have leftover pieces that do not fill a full export carton, these must be packed in separate cartons per size. Under no circumstances may you mix styles, colors, or sizes within the same carton unless explicitly approved by PWT.

Mixed cartons:

  • Each lefover sizes must be packed separately in master polybags per size.
  • Each master polybag must be labeled with an Unassorted carton sticker suitable for the specific size.
  • Master polybags must be packed in the export carton.
  • Export carton must be marked with Mixed carton sticker
  • No handwriting on carton sticker allowed
